KIDS

We love our kids at Grace Anglican Church. We believe that teaching the Bible to children is one of the best things we can do for them, and we strive to do that in a way that builds long term relationships.

Our philosophy at Grace Anglican Church is to teach and disciple kids as young Christians. We also care about the youths that our kids will grow up to be, and this is at the heart of how our kids programs are structured. We have a variety of gatherings and ministries for kids both on Sunday mornings and throughout the week.

Sunday Morning Kids Programs

Our Kids programs run at both Gledswood Hills and Harrington Park. We all start in the church gathering together at 9:30am. After singing, praying and learning from the Bible up the front in the Kids’ Spot, Kids’ Church and creche begins.

Creche

Creche is where preschoolers and toddlers have a fun time playing, singing songs, listening to a Bible story, and eating morning tea together, while the adults stay in ‘big church.’ Children from ages 0 up to school-aged are all welcome. Each one of our leaders is well trained in Safe Ministry and Child Protection, and many are parents of young children themselves.

Kids’ Church

In Kids Church, kids aged from Kindy to Year 5 sing songs together, learn memory verses, and then split into age-specific small groups for Bible discovery time, craft and games. Kids build relationships with both leaders and other kids their age, as they discover who Jesus is and what it means to follow him.

We meet on Sundays during our regularly scheduled morning services. Though we previously supplied online resources to our Kids, as we return to face-to-face gatherings this will no longer occur. Check out the announcement here and take a look at the alternative content that parents can use for their kids.

6-8 Bible Study

6-8 Bible Study is for kids and youth in Years 6 to 8! They stay in ‘big church’ until the start of the Bible Talk, then head out for Bible Study in their own smaller group together. At 6-8, youth are encouraged to think hard about the actual text of the Bible – the same passage that is preached on in ‘big church.’

6-8 Bible Study is a place where youth engage with the Bible, ask tricky questions about it and dig into big ideas as they encounter the word of God together as a group.

Mid-Week Kids Programs

Thrive is a weekly activity for children in Kindergarten to Year 6.

We meet every Friday afternoon during school term, from 4:30 – 6:00pm at the Church Hub.

We have lots of fun singing, playing games, doing craft and discovering the Bible!

Our leaders are lively and energetic, and trained in Safe Ministry and Child Protection.

Thrive costs $2 per child per week (max $5 per family).

We’d love to see you there!

If you are a parent or carer of a child who is part of Thrive, please join this Facebook group to stay in the loop.
